SIBU (Feb 24): The Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (Motac) is committed to continue giving their full support to the Transport Ministry to attract more tourists to Malaysia and increase connections to more tourist destinations, said its minister Dato Sri Tiong King Sing.

He cited an example of the addition of new air routes which not only increase tourist arrivals but also stimulate the tourism and transport industry.

“The demand for air and ground transportation will definitely increase significantly,” he said in a Facebook post.

Towards this end, the Bintulu MP thanked Transport Minister Anthony Loke for the invitation to the Transport Ministry’s ‘Majlis Sua Madani’ in conjunction with the Chinese New Year.

Tiong said rolling out such an event was highly encouraged to foster ties among Malaysians of different backgrounds and religions.

“In addition, I would also like to thank all parties who have been involved in the ongoing efforts to promote the arrival of more tourists to our country,” he added.
