KOTA KINABALU (Sept 6): The “Level Up Your Business” Seminar has received the blessing and support of Sabah China Chamber of Commerce (SCCC) president Datuk Frankie Liew.
The organizing committee by vice chairmen Dick Lee and Desmond Hsiu, organizing chairman chairman Jackie Voo along with SCCC committee Hong Jia Hao gave a briefing to Liew.
Organized by Sabah China Chamber of Commerce Young Entrepreneurs (SCCCYE) on September 21 at Raia Hotel here, the seminar aims to promote the growth of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Sabah and enhance their market competitiveness.
The seminar will feature speakers from the Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (FAMA) Sabah Branch, the Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO) Sabah Branch, the Food Safety and Quality Division, Sabah Branch, and the Sabah Religious Affairs Department (MUIS) Halal Hub.
They will share the essential and detailed application procedures and professional advice in their respective fields.
The seminar will cover agriculture and food, intellectual property, food safety and Halal certification, providing practical solutions and useful techniques for MSMEs to improve their operational standards and achieve their business growth.
Liew said that the seminar would help MSMEs to elevate their business capabilities and market competitiveness through innovative thinking, digital transformation and optimized business strategies. In line with the “Sabah Maju Jaya” slogan and direction initiated by Chief Minister Datuk Hajiji Noor, Liew shared that it is crucial to understand the role of MSMEs as one of the main pillars of economic growth for Sabah.
He also encouraged all young entrepreneurs, particularly new to the business world, to actively collaborate with relevant government departments to obtain more resources and policy support while adapting to the evolving economic environment to drive Sabah’s economic prosperity.
Liew further stressed that, given the deepening bilateral trade relations between Sabah and China, MSMEs should leverage this advantage to explore new business opportunities and achieve sustainable development. Through this seminar, businesses will have the chance to learn how to utilize government resources and policies to optimize their operations and boost their market competitiveness not only within Sabah but also in Malaysia and be ready to compete with international brand.
SCCCYE is committed to provide a platform to all young entrepreneurs to exchange ideas and learn, actively promoting the development of MSMEs in Sabah. This platform will not only offer businesses an opportunity to enhance their capabilities but also to create a networking for young entrepreneurs to strengthen collaboration and explore business opportunities, thereby contributing to Sabah’s sustainable economic development.
All MSMEs are invited to join the seminar. The ticket price is RM150 per person. For more information, please contact Chris Chin at 018-294 0428.
