Another quick and easy way to go from Singapore to Johor Bahru is to travel by train.

KTM’s high-speed train, Shuttle Tebrau takes a mere 5 minutes to get from Woodlands Train Checkpoint to Johor Sentral!

Travelling by train, allows you to travel comfortably and avoid the causeway traffic that’s almost always congested.

However, train tickets are often limited, so it is advisable to get in early.

3.1 How To Get To Woodlands Train Checkpoint From Singapore

1. Make your way to Marsiling MRT and head to the bus stop in front of Marsiling
2. Board Bus 856.
3. Hop off at Woodlands Centre Road bus stop.

3.2 How To Purchase Shuttle Tebrau Train Ticket

• If in Singapore, you can purchase tickets from Woodlands CIQ ticket counter.
• At JB Sentral, the ticket counter is located opposite KOMTAR JBCC and JB City Square.
• Alternatively, you can email callcenter@ktmb.com.my
• You can also purchase tickets by calling KTMB on +603-22671200
• The easiest method is to purchase your tickets online at https://online.ktmb.com.my/.
• Register an account and payment can be made via credit card.
• Remember to print out the tickets!
• Tickets sell out quickly, so make your ticket purchases early

• Clear immigration before and after boarding the train
• There are seating areas and restrooms in the waiting hall
• Children below 4 years old can ride for free!
