KUCHING: Despite Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg’s busy schedule last Saturday, the Sarawak Premier had time to grace the wedding reception of Eunice Henie Silodik and her partner Defterios Mondaley.
Eunice is the daughter of state Transport Deputy Minister Dato Henry Harry Jinep, while Defterios is the son of Rundi Noew.
According to the Premier’s official Facebook page ‘Sarawakku’, Abang Johari and wife Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tuanku Bujang joined hundreds of guests at the wedding reception here.
Also present were State Legislative Assembly Speaker Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia Awang Nassar, as well as ministers, deputy ministers and their respective spouses.
Earlier in the day, Abang Johari arrived from Kuala Lumpur and immediately travelled from Kuching to Betong by road to officiate at the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu Betong Zone branches’ delegates meeting.
He was in the federal capital last Friday to attend the Malaysian Institute of Planners Excellence Awards, where he was presented with the ‘Honorary Fellow Award’ by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
