KUDAT (Nov 22): Barisan Nasional (BN) Sabah’s manifesto, themed “Rancangan Pembangunan Satu: Sabah Membangun Bersama”, is designed to be people-centric and focused on driving development across the state, said BN Tanjong Kapor candidate Kevin Lee Sip Kim.
He welcomed the party’s pledge to establish a special state assembly committee to monitor and oversee the implementation of the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63).
“This is a clear demonstration of BN’s commitment to representing the voice of the people of Sabah, particularly the push to reclaim Sabah’s 40 per cent net revenue entitlement.
“This is a constitutional obligation of the federal government and must be channeled back to the people here to accelerate development and ensure their welfare,” he said.
Lee also voiced support for the proposal to designate Kudat as a Free Trade Zone, which aligns with his campaign promise under Promise 3 in his manifesto.
“I believe this will boost the local economy in Tanjong Kapor. Major infrastructure development will improve and maintain basic facilities such as roads, instilling confidence in foreign investors while ensuring comfort for the residents of Kudat,” he said.
He added that the initiative would create job opportunities for youth and increase local incomes.
“Therefore, I pledge to give my best for the people of Tanjong Kapor and Kudat if entrusted with the mandate by voters in N.04 Tanjong Kapor,” Lee affirmed.
