KUCHING (March 23): The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has forecasted heavy rain and thunderstorms in most parts of Sarawak until 9pm tonight.
In a 4.55pm notice, it said the areas include Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei (Pakan and Julau), Sibu (Kanowit), Kapit, Bintulu (Sebauh), Miri (Beluru, Telang Usan and Marudi) and Limbang.
Similar weather conditions have beeen forecasted in Sabah, particularly its interior, namely Sipitang, Tenom, Beaufort, Nabawan, Keningau, and its west coast areas of Papar, Putatan and Penampang.
In West Malaysia, heavy rain and thunderstorms are forecasted in Kedah (Langkawi, Yan, Pendang, Kuala Muda, Sik, Baling, Kulim, and Bandar Baharu); Pulau Pinang; Perak; Kelantan (Jeli, Tanah Merah, Kuala Krai and Gua Musang), Pahang (Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub, Bentong, and Rompin);Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, and Johor (Tangkak, Segamat, Muar, Batu Pahat, Kluang, Mersing, Pontian, Kulai and Johor Bahru).
