KOTA KINABALU (Feb 13): Petronas looks forward to further collaborations with the media fraternity in highlighting stories that promote a more sustainable future.
Speaking at the Petronas Chinese New Year luncheon with Sabah media here Thursday, Petronas Group Strategic Communications (GSRC) senior general manager Siti Azlina Abd Latif expressed her heartfelt appreciation for the media’s continuous support of the company over the years.
“At Petronas, we deeply value the dedication of our colleagues in the media, who work tirelessly to report the news and provide the right context behind each headline.
“Your commitment to delivering news, information and stories to the public have been instrumental in helping us reach our stakeholders, business partners and the broader community with our messages,” she said.
Siti Azlina also acknowledged that the company values more than just professional collaboration, as building trust and mutual understanding is key to accurate reporting and reflecting the reality of the news.
“We look forward to continuing our collaboration, working together to create credible stories that highlight our resilience, innovation and unwavering commitment to a shared vision of a more sustainable future,” she said.
She added that Petronas is also committed to supporting the craft of journalism, through its contribution towards the Kinabalu Press Awards in Sabah, as well as the Malaysian Press Institute – Petronas Malaysian Journalism Award at the national level, and the Kenyalang Journalism Awards in Sarawak.
“These awards are a testament to the power of journalism in shaping a more informed society, and we are honoured to stand alongside you in recognising the talent within the industry.
