Heavy rain, thunderstorms and strong winds forecast for parts of Kedah, Penang, Perak and Selangor on Sunday morning.

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department has issued a thunderstorm warning for four states until 10 am today.

The alert forecasts thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds for parts of Kedah and Penang.

The affected areas in Kedah are Langkawi, while in Penang they are Barat Daya and Timur Laut.

Similar severe weather conditions are also expected in several districts of Perak and Selangor.

In Perak, the warning covers Manjung, Perak Tengah, Bagan Datuk and Hilir Perak.

In Selangor, the districts of Sabak Bernam and Kuala Selangor are forecast to be impacted.
