KOTA TINGGI – Tiada sebarang kesan tumpahan minyak ditemui di sepanjang perairan Punggai dan pantai Batu Layar.

Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Kesihatan dan Alam Sekitar Johor, Ling Tian Soon berkata, berdasarkan aduan kecemasan tumpahan minyak yang diterima semalam, Agensi Penguatkuasaan Maritim Malaysia (APMM) mengesahkan tiada sebarang kesan minyak ditemui berdasarkan pemantauan dilakukan aset bertugas.

“Rondaan pantai juga telah dijalankan oleh Jabatan Alam Sekitar (JAS) Cawangan Pengerang di pantai-pantai berpotensi terkesan sekiranya berlaku tumpahan minyak di perairan Batu Layar dan Punggai.

“Antaranya di Pantai Tanjung Balau, Pantai Tanjung Lompat, Pantai Desaru, Pantai Batu Layar dan Pantai Punggai.

“Hasil rondaan pantai yang dijalankan mendapati tiada penemuan minyak, tarball dikesan di pantai-pantai tersebut,” katanya dalam kenyataan hari ini.

Terdahulu tular dakwaan berlakunya pencemaran minyak di Pantai Sedili hingga Desaru melibatkan bahan pencemar minyak hitam bercampur dengan pasir pantai dan membentuk gumpalan serta ketulan keras di sepanjang garis pantai.- KOSMO! ONLINE
