SIBU (March 25): The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) will continue to uphold public safety and security by strengthening collaboration with the community and various agencies, said Inspector-General of Police, Tan Sri Razarudin Husain.
He said PDRM is committed to ensuring the country’s sovereignty by embracing the principle of ‘striving for excellence’ as the guiding value for every member of the force in providing the best service to society.
“Every police officer and personnel must uphold their pledge of loyalty to the King, the Nation, and the leadership of the force while maintaining integrity and trustworthiness in their duties,” he said.
His text speech was read by Sibu District Police Chief, ACP Zulkipli Suhaili during the 218th Police Day celebration at the Sibu District Police Headquarters (IPD) today.
Razarudin also emphasised the importance of inclusivity between the government, agencies, and the public in strengthening national security.
“PDRM’s Associated and Integrated (AI) strategy will continue to enhance the professionalism and efficiency of the force, especially in criminal investigations,” he said.
During the event, 27 police officers and personnel from IPD Sibu were presented with certificates of appreciation for their outstanding service by Zulkipli.
Also present were Sibu Deputy District Police Chief Supt Boniface Bajai, senior police officers, and PDRM personnel.
